Thank you for visiting my website. I'm excited to be part of the Knightdale Elementary School community and look forward to working together with you for the success of our students. I am available to help all students, parents, staff and KES community member.
I am dedicated to supporting students in their academic, personal/social, and career development. The school counseling program services include but are not limited to: Individual Counseling, Small Group Counseling, Classroom Guidance Lessons, Crisis Intervention, Schoolwide Service Learning Activities, Community Agency Information & Referrals, and Teacher/Parent Consultation.
The mission of the school counseling program is to empower students to increase their self concept, achieve academic success and develop a love for learning. As the school counselor, I believe that:

I am committed to coordinating a comprehensive school counseling program that:
- Reaches the entire student body.
- Empowers students to develop a positive attitude towards self as a unique and worthy person.
- Arms students with life-planning skills that are consistent with their needs, interest and abilities.
- Assist students in developing character and responsible social skills that will make them contributing members of society.
- Empowers families with knowledge and support.
School counseling is a comprehensive educational program that focuses on helping students become responsible, safe and respectful citizens. The program is developmental and sequential and it reinforces different life skills and compentencies at each grade level.
The counseling & guidance curriculum is divided into the areas of academic, social/emotional and career development. Each area focuses on competencies that enhance learning and support a safe school environment. The counseling & guidance course of study is delivered by teachers and the school counselor with the support of parents and the community.
